We are a couple of Japanese and American, who lives in a beautiful rural town, hatano, in kameoka city, right next to Kyoto City, enjoying the nature and what it brings.
Kyoto is not just about visiting temples full of tourists.
We are looking for ways to let more people
discover the true beauty of rural Kyoto!

Shopping at local farmers' markets and supermarkets is always fun! We can introduce you to quite a few farmers' markets and vegetable stands in this area where you can pick the freshest veggies which you can find only in Kyoto. Rides are free of charge (up to 3 guests).
As local people are shy, but hoping to communicate with tourists from overseas, if you ask a simple question, they will be so happy to have a little chat with you!

Public Transportation;
1. Take JR Sagano Line from Kyoto JR station.
2. Get off at Chiyokawa station.
3. Take a local bus F41 or F43.
4. Get off at the terminal, Hirono.
We will meet you at the bus stop!
We can pick you up at Kameoka station (up to 3 guests). Also, we can give you a ride at night if you'd like to try hot spring. However, please note that rides may not be available depending on your check-in/check-out time.
Kameoka City is located 45 minutes' drive to the west from the central Kyoto.
Type in the address we send you once you reserve a room into your navigation system of your car.
We highly recommend this car-rental place. You can rent a compact car for 16,000 yen for a week!
You can access Kyoto City and Osaka City in 60 mins drive from the house. Also, you can drive 90 mins to get to Kobe City and Nara City.
